Industry-first Configuration API and MCP Control
Crescendo now includes an industry-first Configuration API and MCP service for Crescendo AI Assistant. The Crescendo agentic AI can now be managed via MCP, allowing other agents to optimize and improve the performance of the system.

This major advance allows the most powerful AI to be applied towards continuous self improvement of CX.
With MCP, Crescendo AI Assistant customers are also now able add tools to Crescendo AI Assistant without any additional administrative setup. Crescendo AI Assistant will automatically detect new tools and use them as needed to help consumers. Enabled by the “no workflow” agentic architecture of Crescendo, this innovation rapidly speeds the deployment of additional CX automation capabilities.
Crescendo has also introduced an API for export to support enterprise customers who have a centralized Customer Data Platform strategy. Initial customer implementations have supported marketing analytics on customer behavior and sales attribution by combining Crescendo AI Assistant conversations with marketing and sales data from other systems.
CRM & Integration Expansion
Large enterprises often struggle with fragmented systems and routing inefficiencies. Crescendo has expanded its CRM integrations to support ServiceNow, Hubspot, and Front. Crescendo AI Assistant CRM integrations now support additional context passing to support multi-group routing. With this capability Crescendo can operate as a concierge AI for a wide range of disparate support teams in a large enterprise environment. When performing a handoff or escalation to live support, Crescendo AI categorizes the need and passes this context to the CRM system, allowing the ticket or conversation to be routed to the right team, minimizing transfers and reassignments.
Enterprise AI Lifecycle Governance
Crescendo AI Assistant versioning now supports enhanced audit trail capabilities to better support enterprise customers with more complex deployments and team maintenance responsibilities. As Crescendo AI Assistant is updated and optimized, the Crescendo platform will automatically produce "release notes" tracking changes.

The Crescendo AI has AI-generated version comparisons and AI categorization of changes while also allowing for instant rollback to previous setups. With completely documented adjustments, the Crescendo AI Assistant personality changes can be traced through various updates to assess the impact of optimizations. This analysis also provides administrators with data on the pace of behavioral updates to assess performance over time and across versions of the AI Assistant setup. Crescendo AI Assistant is offered as a managed service with full transparency, so enterprise customers can observe or participate in ongoing AI Assistant optimization at their discretion.

Multimodal Enhancements: Simultaneous Voice, Chat, Images, and now Email
We launched Multimodal AI last fall, and our Crescendo AI Assistant remains the only agentic offering with simultaneous voice, chat, and imaging to support both shopping and service conversations. And now, with updated functionality, Crescendo AI Assistant can send SMS and email while engaged in a phone call with a customer. Adding to previous communication options, Crescendo AI Assistant continues to operate as one agentic setup handling all interactions as opposed to a channel-specific design. This multimodal architecture allows Crescendo to offer a completely consistent branded customer experience on all media.
Initial deployments of this feature leverage SMS and email for convenient follow-ups and link sharing. For example, if a customer conversation reaches a point where the customer may benefit from a link, Crescendo AI Assistant can offer the customer the option to receive that link via email or SMS. As always, Crescendo AI Assistant does not operate based on a procedural set of rules; rather, the agentic design gives Crescendo AI Assistant the permission and autonomy to use this capability during the conversation. This design combines the power of Crescendo AI for route selection with the scale and workflow capabilities of larger CRM deployments.
Crescendo AI Assistant now also supports WhatsApp with full text and bidirectional image processing, allowing the three billion global Whatsapp users to receive the same experience as web site visitors.
Enhanced Tool Calling Visibility and Tracing
Crescendo focuses on time-to-value, and for enterprise customers, this means integrating Crescendo AI with systems as they are today. While agentic interfaces like MCP make deployments easier, few enterprise customers have MCP interfaces in place for their backend systems. Therefore, Crescendo AI Assistant can be implemented to connect to any proprietary backend system.
These deployments are unique to each customer and require substantially more oversight to ensure quality and reliability. Crescendo AI Assistant now includes detailed tool-calling traces directly in the transcript view.
The Crescendo platform also tracks the status and availability of backend services to assist in troubleshooting reliability issues that are more often encountered in older software platforms.
Security Improvements
Crescendo has also strengthened single sign-on support with full support for SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and OIDC (OpenID Connect) and all major identity provider platforms. Crescendo has also introduced support for enterprise-controlled encryption key management via Google Cloud KMS for environments with the most sensitive security needs. Crescendo provides compliance and security information as well as details on SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA at trust.crescendo.ai.
